Enjoy Small Pleasures
The morning sun creeping over the land
Warming the flowers as they wash the
Dew from their sleepy faces
Look at the rolling hills covered in green
And beautiful heather gracefully swaying
To and fro with the soft wind.
Birds in the trees of all colors sing softly
In the morning to wake us up with their
Beautiful songs.
Pick a bouquet of wild flowers and take
Them too someone you love and watch
As their face lights up with happiness.
Hug your family and tell them you love them
And see the magic that comes out in each and
Everyone as they hug back.
Call a friend and tell them how much you enjoy
Being with them and make a date to go out
For lunch.
Send a card to a sick person you know to remind
Them how much you care. We all need that once
In awhile.
These are all small things that you can enjoy by yourself
And with others that you love. Don’t ever be afraid to say
I love you. Some of us need that assurance once in awhile.
