This was an outstanding write and tribute, Poet!!! As a Vet I do know the meaning of what it takes to be free, also what it will really take to remain a free and peaceful nation!!! When the Eagle lands on their doorstep, then we�ll see just how bad they really are!!! I enjoyed this very much!!! Thank you for sharing it.

Some things are worth fighting for indeed....I would lay down my life for my Daughter to have the chance to live her own with freedom...This is a wonderful poem Sherry.....God Bless us all.....

Some things are worth fightimg for, liberty is one of them, well spoken for American troops and the free world troops who were brave enough to fight, like the Aussies, Brits, NZ, fiji... rest of europe you bloody cowards!!!

TERRIFIC poem, and special day, sherry! awesome tribute to why we celebrate memorial day and to our brave men and women who fought (and continue TO fight) for our freedoms! LOVE the pic, too! that was taken right after 9-11 happened, but it is suitable for a day like memorial day or july fourth!
