Love of flag and country should be in our hearts daily, not

This is a great tribute to our country, and the fighting men and women who make sure that our freedoms are preserved, no matter the cost. I also echo the comments of Estrella too. Thank you for sharing sis, this is a very heartfelt piece.

Sherry,
You don't write often but when you do..you always hit a home run. It's two days past the 4th, and this still brought tears to my eyes. I don't know if it's age or just the tiring of bad news, but the longer this war goes the more dedicated I become to not letting them win.
Great write yet again Sherry. Hope your 4th was great!

Hmmmm, but America never won, it was well after 1776, when we gave you independence. 1812 the fighting went on, we won, but like every other country we've conquered, we help build and give esteem too.
Glad you still celebrate our generosity.... America is yet to win a war....

America, land of the free
To it's shores so many do flee

Dark clouds o'er this Independence Day
Inside our midst Allah does pray
He looks to make us all his prey
Says we're infidels he must slay

America's Eagle still has claws

Try to live a few years far away from the US and coming Independence Day your heart will shrink in pain and your eyes will get blurried.
Then...someone like you, write a few words to remind us that the land is still there, waiting for our return.
