Was searching from town
to town; craved to be loved
had to find my baby; she
left because I lied – I told
her I’d love her like no
other . . .
She never gave me a chance
as-she packed her bags and
left me in the lurch – right
in the church dressed in
white gown and lace – a
disgrace . . .
I ran out - saw her drive
away as the sun set in the
west – now my heart was
a mess; had no real good
loving; she wasn’t there for
me . . .
Ever since that day, I’ve
been a nervous wreck – I
spent all my time looking
Even under rocks; have got
to find my baby; can’t go on
living . . .
Went to a bridge to throw
myself in via a high dive
Then heard a voice, “Please
don’t do it sweetheart!” I
disagreed - went head first . . .

some bridges we cross
some bridges we mend
some bridges we jump
& while freee falling into the unknown future may the gravity of possibilites now emplore the splash of life a breast your new destiny
