A man and woman – established a decision
Fell in love, tied the marital hangman’s knot
Pledged together to make a commitment to
face all their disappointments until death do
they part . . .
He knew the marriage vows like the back of
his hand – I’ll get to that part in due course
So please read on; after a week’s honeymoon
they moved into his house; months later, every
thing unraveled . . .
The groom wasn’t what he seemed to be; left
her dizzy and confused – but she decided to
stay, because he kept her well provided for
and was great in the sack; unbeknownst was
pending doom . . .
On a dark, foggy, rainy night, he walked into
their bedroom to say goodnight to his wife
Threw her on the bed and she was sucked
down; bedbugs began to bite – “Goodbye
thirteenth wife” . . .
That wasn’t the last he would see of his
bride – stormy night marking their 6th month
anniversary; she crawled up out of the bed
slightly chewed-up; grabbed him, “Come join
me, dear!” . . .
‘2009’ RLS
Very vivid and horrifying. Why does the man always end up the "baddie"?
Typical of men? Just asking.

Spooky and dark, the grim atmosphere so well created, and as Gene says a parable for all time.
