Superb, Retta, a rocks me to the core. I can hardly bear to comment, beyond being able to both sympathises and empathise with every syllable that your eloquent pen has written here with such luminous clarity and sensitivity - but immense consuming passion, too. This type of love is what I have been asked to think about for my college work (over and beyond icebergs, which is SUCH a relief!!): "passion in extremis" where the intensity is such that it causes a metamorphosis of the persons experiencing it, becoming almost mythical in its effects. You have got the tension just right, describing the love that liberates rather than curtails; releases whilst at the same time protecting. Just gorgeous, thank you. Kate xx

Retta, Over the years, I've learned one thing. That is, You can move mountains with only your words.
