History Lesson

We have some history,
You and I,
Laying on the banks of the river,
And staring at the sky...

I listened as you told me,
Your dreams,
And you always comforted me,
When you found me in sorrow…

Strange how the world moves on,
People move in and out of your life,
Passing like shadows,
That become dim memories…

But you are always there,
Even when my fierce heart,
Is blazing in white heat,
And deep angst…

I cast you from me,
The touch of your love,
Burning me with fire,
I cannot bear to feel…

It is then I feel so unreal,
As numb as the stone statue,
Residing in my hidden garden,
Cold and alone…

You come then,
And warm my soul,
Slowing drawing me back to life,
No matter how hard I try,
I can’t cast you aside…

Your love breathes life into me,
Teaches me to see,
This man who loves me,
You hold my hand,
And draw me to you,

I am smothered in your love,
And find comfort in your arms,
Knowing you will keep me safe from harm,

Ah my love,
My passions burn so hot,
And I am caught in the web of your love,
I cannot break free,
Of what you do to me,

The past History of my life,
Had taught me not to believe,
Or rely on anyone but myself,
But history is being rewritten,
By you and me…

I am learning,
Love is not an easy thing,
Love is not free,
Love means sharing,
All I have hidden so deeply within me…

I lie on the banks of this river,
And watch the clouds move across the sky,
And contemplate all you have taught me,
Thinking now with my heart,
No matter where we are,
We are never apart…

You are in my soul,
And no matter where we go,
We are together,
Our love lives deeply within us…

Thank you for this lesson baby,
I have learned so well,
My heart is full today,
Feeling the love and hope you gave,

Made my world a brighter place,
Come to me soon love,
As I watch the clouds move above,
In a sky so beautifully blue,
My thoughts are only of you…

Excellent write ...

Love is excellent ...
it flows so beautifully
from heart to heart ...
We never know when love comes and when it leaves
its so beautiful ..
No words to say what love means ...
U name it ur definition ...
I give mine ...

But one thing is true ...
It starts with the heart ...
We live with the heart
and
finally
end at the heart ..

Love is true and beautiful

Standing On My Knees by Pinkstone
