Hammerin’ Homer and Jethro
I get tears in my ears from layin’ on my back
and cryin’ over you
I get ants in my pants that bite me right where
I just don’t want them to
I get rocks in my socks that hurt my toes
and make them black and blue
But those tears in my ears keep drowning out
the love I have for you.
When I was young and in my prime
and first laid eyes on you
I could see you were the one for me
cause you had two eyes too.
When one of mine fell out
I heard you shout
Put that eyeball in its socket
I fumbled and I stumbled
and it landed in my pocket.
Now I get tears in my ears from layin’ on my back
and cryin’ over you
And those ants in my pants are lookin’ for
some brand new butt to chew
Oh those rocks in my socks could pave
a road from here to Timbuktu
But those tears in my ears could never
wash away my love for you.
