Economists are a boring bunch. This was intended as humor.
But I mislabeled it as business. So I changed it to humor.
Now you can laugh...Try harder. Please?

The Economist’s Lament

20,000 forecasts and they are all pointing down...
Markets
GDP
Labor
Prices
Health
Money
Trade
Government
Business
Consumer
Housing
Taxes

I beg your pardon
Taxes are on the rise.

Wouldn’t you know it?
The rug is ripped away again
By the deadliest sin
From Maine to Texas
There’s that little nexus
From poverty to crime
Gets us every time
At both ends.

What’s not to love?

To afford such humorous seriousness is just another facet of your talent, not often shared. Love to see more like this, being the satirical appreciator that I am.

Economics is a constant challenge! Everyone is stimulated especially in a downturn!

Your poem gets me to thinking. I've been reading an article on American Decline. They cite deficit spending, for example on the military and social programs, as one cause. They also link political polarization to increased economic inequality and decline. Lots to think about. Corrine

It’s the same the whole world over…!!
but I love the way they try and manipulate the
statistics to make us feel how well they’ve done…
Thanks for bursting their fraudulent bubble!

Diana…
