If you don't dance to the "prescribed" tune, many (even those you thought were close to you) will discard you like a wilted flower.
Morass
Of late I trudge in a quagmire infested with weeds of intolerance judgment and jealousy They tug at my spirit and I would surely fall and drown in the viscous mud of incomprehension were it not for thoughts of you and what you have meant on my path from the moment I met you to where I do not know
LIFE LESSONS ARE HARD LEARNED, MOST TIMES NOT WITHOUT SOME ACHES. BUT WHAT A BLESSING WHEN THERE IS A SOFT PILLOW TO REST YOUR HEAD ON. WRITTEN A WHILE AGO I SEE, YET STILL...SO REAL, INDEED. ENJOYED. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS
Most of us dance to tunes of various kinds. Some people can be so cruel, back stabbing, unfair. Its they who inflict their demoralized self righteousness on others because they can not find happiness within themselves. Ride the strom !!Goodness will prevail ! ..........M
I CAN AND DO RELATE. The enemy is always tryin to get you in his court, weak and vulnerasble to his wiles, STAY strong, and know you are never alone, as He, is true, and those that love Him, love you too. Rocky
It's about duality, but mostly about resonance and dimensions. Many who have loved us in the old times will not even recognize us today... sames goes for us. You will not be able to tolerate harsh and lower vibrations easily.
Nice words again, dear Regis, but you've got to climb off the fence. You cannot live much longer in both worlds.
Very thought provoking. This one makes you think hard. You wrote, "If you don't dance to the "prescribed" tune, many (even those you thought were close to you) will discard you like a wilted flower." This is so true and I believe many are not aware of it.
You write truthes in which all shoul dread...they will benefit much. Thanks for sharing...(((((HUGS)))))

Regis,
I see all the raving reviews here, and I am humbled to even comment on your beautiful poem. I am a retired mental health therapist and i have had this feeling more times than I can ever tell! We have to learn to have tolerance with some things, and only think of positive thoughts to make it through each hour of the day. This poem is exactly how I felt for so many years, now, I just tell people what I think, in a kind but confusing way! I am reading more of your work so I can understand you better. Thanks for the kind words.
This flows very well, and it says volume. Wonderful work!

This is so great and the beginning statement so true. Intolerance, jealousy and judgement are among my most unfavored traits of mankind. When will we ever learn? Great write Pierre.

I know. Sometimes you feel like either running away with the one who loves you to another planet where you don't have to be confronted with other people's problems. I wonder though if that would get boring after a while? Best to you Regis. Hold your love close to you. In the end, love is all that matters. ~ Sara
I know that feeling, too. You have described it eloquently...the feeling of being pulled down as though you might drown except for the life-giving force of one person's love...You paint an ugly picture most beautifully...the imagery here is spectacular!
As always Regis, you have touched my heart. It's always wonderful to find someone that walks besides you down that lonesome path. Excellent write.

"Morass" is excellent. Life is filled with so many choices, emotions and uncertainties. Your path comes right from the heart. Beautiful photo too. My best, Gloria
Mystical and yet so very visceral with the bloody-gore of heartfelt feeling. Like lamplight in the dark, so is that ability to hold close the guiding light in the back of the brain when all the other bodily senses are screaming and struggling to survive. Great picture painted here, Regis. TY Kate xx
The power of your words and the deep feelings conveyed are very moving! People who must always be in control, are not easy to know.
Fantastic write Regis, I hope things improve soon!
boy do I know what you mean with the comment pre-poem. I am grateful that you have someone, if only the memory of that someone, to hold fast to in uncertain times. you say things so beautifully when you write from your heart. peace, Dawn
experiencing life's travails, it helps to have an enforcing spirit to support moments of pain and betrayal as we move on to the next phase of our beings ... finely penned, Regis ...
oh, Regis, no, no...I firmly believe you know how to step forward and onward and know how to stay still if need be. Let the waters of ill will roll off you...look to your stars and follow the light.
Now that was a bad purple moment on my part, but really...your appreciation for 'that you' is fine..just don't sell yourself short.
The LORD will lead you, Reg...right from that beautiful heart of yours! Ask, seek, knock...you'll find your answers, and I think, many serendipities! No one deserves them more, my dear Friend.

The metaphors and word choices in this piece are excellent. I loved the raw honesty of the last line. ..."to where I do not know." So real as we can't predict the future. People change and so do we. Great line.

Reg, this is the hour of power poem here on the den today. On the semifinal ring victory, Frazier went to his hotel room, locked the door and soaked his thumb. His thick, swollen thumb was excrutiatingly painful. He said to himself, "This is where my power is and my thumb is broken. I am finished. How terrible. I am the only chance right now for the Americans to win the gold medal and I am broken." Then he thought about his childhood. He remembered his dad who did not have a left arm. "If my dad could support a wife and feed thirteen kids, why am I worried about a broken thumb anyway?" He prayed and he believed! When the judges votes were counted, Frazier was the winner!
