When I came back from my cycling excursion around the mountain yesterday, I witnessed a wondrous display of leaves dancing in the wind. It was not hard to discern the fairies.

Dance of the Autumn Leaves

Enchanted by the dance
Of the autumn leaves
The fairies have come out
Of their hiding places
Mesmerized
In their fascination
They join in the dance
They twirl
They whirl
They swirl
They reel
They spin
They turn
They swivel
They pivot
They twist
They lift their skirts
The wind laughs
Urges them on
Such a display
Just for me
For I am truly alone
Here and now
And not by choice
There is no one else
To witness this delight
Of fairies and leaves and zephyr
This magic of autumn moments
Just me
And my friends
The fairies
The leaves
And the wind
Laughing in the trees

Not at me
I hope

HOW BLESSED YOU ARE TO BE A POET! IN TUNE IN A SPECIAL WAY WITH NATURE. AND SO, THE LEAVES AND THE FAIRIES...THEY BEFRIEND YOU AND THEY DANCE WITH THE WIND FOR YOU. THEY DO ALL THIS JUST TO REMIND YOU...THAT YOU ARE NEVER ALONE. LOVE THIS! THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Magical poem for a magical season!!

Love leaf poems. Probably written almost as many as I have about rain.
Every emotion comes to the fore. Brown leaves falling make me think of dying soldiers. Lie on the ground, unnoticed? Or waiting to be ...
never mind.

Your poem is wonderfully light and cheering. Best place to be!

Fall is a beautiful season, Regis, and what better way to experience it than on your bike in the mountains watching the dancing leaves. Nature has many lessons for us - our five and country senses awaken in the midst of her charms.

Love the second guess at the end, Regis: brings us back to reality! We are certainly most blessed when nature puts on her special show "just for us" and it's further enhanced when the supernatural puts in an appearance as well to delight and entertain us. A real touch of A Mid-Autumn Afternoon's Dream about this one! :)) xx

She dances in time to the season, dressed in her brightest suite so as not to be missed by the eyes of onlooking admirers. Nature's opera with harp like whooshes floating, spinning, twirling in regalia through the air, to destiny and the awaiting earth, leaves. Regis, a beautiful picture you printed on my imagination. I wish you love and peace my dear friend. Jon Michael

Oh, to be in the midst of the twirling and swirling of the autumn leaves! Like a symphony of high and low notes, one can almost sing out their happiness in the moment; watching the fairies as they come out of their hiding places to amaze us with their dancing their way around the autumn leaves. Magical, Regis. I so enjoyed this.
