Inside this collection of short stories, the author excels in serving the reader twisted characters and sinister plot twists on a platter. As vengeance is a prominent theme, true to the adage, “revenge is a dish best served cold.”

The characters are wickedly wonderful.

There’s Nova in the guise of a dark angel/vampire, who embraces pure evil. Percy Peacock personifies perversion. Dr. Bree Hudson elevates vengeance to an art form. Luna and Marlo are stuck with each other on the other side of a mirror. Bella Dupont takes matters into her own hands. For others, it’s not too late to redeem themselves.

While the reader has the advantage of remaining unscathed by the characters’ ordeals, the author reminds us how life can change in an instant from the irreversible choices we make.

I thoroughly enjoyed, and highly recommend this twisted literary diversion.
