Once more, J.S. Frankel delivers a read-worthy story for his teen and young adult fan base. Greg Rosanoff and Rhonda Klimpt, orphaned lifelong companions who are sweet on each other, live with their foster mother. They stumble across two rings which grant them the power to fly, form protective shields, and enable heroic feats while relieving them of their physical handicaps. Drawing upon their innate goodness, the two choose to fight crime in their city.

As no good deeds go unpunished, Greg and Rhonda find themselves up against an evil alien, shifting public opinion, and a mistrustful police chief while the state of the world is at stake.

As the author tests his characters’ mettle to the max, the readers get a strong dose of Frankel’s writing power to transform their weaknesses into strength, self-doubt into resolve, and fears into undertaking heroic actions. His characters ultimately define the unwritten code of ethical behavior for superheroes.

I highly recommend this morally uplifting novel which delves below the surface of the human condition.
