A Whirlwind Mystery

Author Christa Nardi’s ‘An Itch of Secrecy’ (The Izzie DiSante Mysteries, Book 5) is a whirlwind mystery. Taking place during the countdown to Christmas, the reader gets caught up in a flurry of activity: Cenare’s frantically busy season; the marathon baking sessions for the family restaurant’s clientele; Chloe’s upcoming wedding on New Year’s Day.

To top it off, Izzie is investigating the murder of a man her best friend, Nicole, had a relationship with. That Nicole is a person of interest, fuels Izzie’s zealousness.

All of the elements which add flair to the author’s mysteries are present. Details pertaining to running a restaurant, the intricacies of baking Italian pastries, threats and dangerous situations, secrecy, and the nuances of Izzie’s romance with Henry.

I highly recommend ‘An Itch of Secrecy’. More than just an intriguing mystery, the story has warmth. What’s more, you’ll find the recipe for palmiers has been included.
