At times, confined in a dark room or basement during her childhood, Felicity Cain’s parents are duplicitous in aiding and abetting another’s evil intentions toward her. In adolescence, could Apollo Dawson, her loving boyfriend, be the light at the end of her dark tunnel?

Once more, author Martha Perez tells a twisted story with an uncanny ability to twist her twisted characters beyond the pale. She stretches taut, the façade those maintain to hide their true colors.

Out of the heart of darkness, Ms. Perez fabricates a suspense thriller which defies predictability at every plot twist and turn. I highly recommend this mind-boggling read.
