It's April, National Poetry Month!

It's April, it's Spring,and it's National Poetry Month in America.

April is a great month for many reasons.First,winter finally releases,or seriously considers releasing its tight grip in the Midwest.It stays light longer.
Easter,one of the most famous religious holidays in the world is celebrated in April,and in America,it's April, it's Spring, and it's National Poetry Month.

Around the country,formal and informal Poetry Readings are scheduled.This is the time to be creative and to have fun at the same time without worrying too much about the consequences.I mean what is the worse that could happen if someone recited or wrote a really, really terrible poem?

What have you scheduled for the month? Have you attended or do you plan to attend a Poetry Reading? Have you written or shared a poem with someone? If you have not, there is still lots of time to get involved.

Remember, poetry, like music,appeals to all of us in some way.

So,get busy! Get your family and other loved ones involved in celebrating all the rhythms, all the rhymes of poetry. Writing a poem for someone, or reading one to someone, is a great way to express the many different types of love.
Whether you are young or old, poetry can and does speak your language.

A lot of month is left, so there is plenty of time for you
to get involved.
Decide now to do something creative and fun to celebrate this wonderful month.

What To Do Next?

* Decide what you are going to do to celebrate National
Poetry Month;

* Get others you know who like poetry to get involved too;

* Don't forget the children or the teens;

* Consider fun ways you can keep the momentum going
throughout the month, perhaps the summer too;

* Grow and Shine!
