Two days of fun Had a great time with three of my grandchildren. The weather held out and we spent hours in the garden, which has everything from frogs to a wooden built childrens playhouse, which their dad built. Its not a large garden, but its filled with fun, a childrens escape route in this overdoesed world of sadness.
Watching children grow is interesting. How their individual personalities affect their handling of situations, how they meet challenges. It really amazes me how different they can be, even from the same family.
The world changes the way parents handle situations, economic and work causing so much stress, sadly some children do become involved in those stresses. Yet it is possible to cut your expectations and take some of that stress out of childrens life.
Spoilt kids are the result of parents, all too soon the way of life is learnt, the simple things seen as lesser, which takes away childhood, which should be simple un-complicated, leave all that pressure to later years, they will be better balanced children.
The Journey back on the train was interesting. A woman was talking so loud on her mobile that you had no escape as to the state of play in her life. The verbal attacks that she was delivering were a great senario for a future book. I wonder how many people are aware of how much they are actually letting out of what should be private information. The hands free mobile has made people talk as they walk, chatting almost oblivious of people around who are, not by choice, following behind and being sucked into all their life. So easy to say dont listen, but sorry its my air-space as well, why should I switch my ears off.
