The things you do as a grandfather. I did enjoy being with my grandchildren. Perhaps having a water bomb fight, but two against one was not in the rule book. Most rewarding to hit them as the ran away, Getting a big wet bulls eye wet patch on the backs.
It was sunny and most of yesterday was spent in their garden just having fun. the day before we had gone out and about through parts of Norwich I had never visited. Leafy lanes of very big houses with the roads lined with Horse Chestnut trees, never seen so many in a long road. every so often the wind blew one down and you were lucky if it did not hit you on the head. On the root back that day we headed into Norwich City, had a bite to eat and a walk through the shopping area.
Yesterday I came back in a first class carriage, it was a complimentary ticket the rail company had given me. Rather nice, more as it should be and spacious. Gave me an opportunity to sit and write, and was quite creative having a decent armchair style seat and a good sized table to rest on. Certainly came up with an idea for a new book. Made a five page precis of the plan. Also wrote some song lyrics, neglected that of late. First class seemed a bit inspirational. It was a nice time to travel by train, just as the sun is setting and the countryside is like a changing aura of shadows and a vivid backdrop of the sun bursting into a shout of colour. Even sheep in a field turned an shade of orange.
