Had to leave Michael and Tabitha to their own devices for the moment as my week in Warwick was finished and I came home late on Saturday night. I can't write here as there is too much else to do so, I'll have to wait until I go again in three weeks time to see what happens! (I have to wait and see because, when I sit down to write, I think I know what they are going to do, but then they seem to have minds of their own and end up doing something different.)
I met the new seven beasties when I got home. They are very nice boys, indeed. The Belgian Blue is very cute, mostly cream, the Limousin looks very like a deer with brown coat, a white underbelly and lighter brown ears, and of course the Aberdeens are all black and they are bit bullying to the other two, which isn't nice.
Still no news of the new calves, Heather looks as though she will beat Zoe to it though.
The Galloway News finally got round to printing their article about my new book this week. (LwtLoLA) They did a good job with the writing, but I was a bit disappointed with where they'd put it. It was pushed into the top right hand corner of the left hand page and not in a very prominent position. It is also in the Dumfries Standard this time so that might get a few more local sales. Some people have already told me that they have seen the article anyway, so we'll just have to see. I am going to copy it and give it to Patsy to pin up in the post van. She goes round lots of villages. She can't actually sell the books but she does put local interest stories around the walls of the van. I have no idea of how many have actually sold yet. I don't get the monthly sales information from the publishers until six weeks after the end of the month. Ron in Barry Smart's newsagents rang and asked for six more of each book just before I went to Warwick and I collected the money for fifteen sales from the previous week. In 2007 we were on a local Television Programme (LwtLoLA) which was all about us, the farm, the Ladies and the first book and that boosted sales a lot, but I don't think we can hope for that this time.
