Not a happy week at Low Arvie!
Once again I have been struck by awful toothache. I had no idea how painful toothache could be until earlier this year and now I have found out again!
On Friday night I got hardly any sleep and rang NHS 24 twice during the night but I was already doing everything they could suggest and so I just had to put up with the pain. I was taking Ibuprofen and co-codomol alternately every three hours but only got one hours pain relief from each dose and had to suffer two hours until it was time to take the next tablets. I wouldn't wish that pain on my worst enemy. I would rather go through labour!! Last night was a bit better bercause the antibiotics seem to have started to work. The right side of my face has all swelled up and I look as if I have had a stroke - all lopsided. I have an appointment with the dentist at 8.10 am tomorrow morning and am not looking forward to it - another root canal filling. I hope it will solve the problem and I don't have to lose another tooth. I am rapidly becoming an old hag!!
Richard has another migraine and is feeding the cattle before taking to his bed for the day.
Happily the weather has eased a little and the snow has all melted, but the frost is back again this morning and once again Low Arvie is set in a white world. Fortunately all the cattle seem to be well. Lady Geraldine was quite ill during the week with a temperature of 104.8 but now seems to be feeling better. An injection of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory brought her temperature down quite rapidly, thank goodness.
I hope everyone else has had a better week than us.
