Low Arvie 'boy' racer!

There has not been much news here at the farm lately. The weather has calmed down, the cows are munching round the fields and life is calm.

Today Richard went to Knockhill Race track near Dunfermline to re-live his youth as a Formula Ford Racing Driver. He got an invitation from Jaguar cars to drive their latest models at the race track for two hours. He has just rung to say he is on his way home and I've never heard him so enthusiastic about anything for years. He would have loved to be a Formula 1 driver and in another life.....

Still, its good that he has had this chance to live a dream. That's really what brought him into farming - a love for engines and motors and he is happiest when greased up to the elbows under the digger or the tractor mending them or servicing them. Of course he also loves to be with the cows as well and spends lots of time combing out the tangles in their woolly coats and making them smart. They love this and queue up for their turn, often trying to nudge each other out of the way.

Well, its back to the ironing board for me!
