The grow up so very fast....*sigh*
I attended my youngest son's college graduation yesterday, actually both son's graduated from college this year. As I sat at the ceremony yesterday, I had so many mixed emotions...Time just goes by too quickly. One moment, you are cradling your pretty pink newborn in your arms...the next they are walking across the stage receiving their diploma.
My son and I had a discussion about what happens next. That stage walk is very symbolic,it is their walk into adulthood...into the real world. But back to our discussion...we talked about what was next...I told him how life doesn't always go according to plan and that it will be okay, should our lives take a side path. He is a little nervous... that he may not succeed...if you know my sons...you know that they will both succeed no matter what they do.
As I watched commencement ceremonies I thought of all of the discussions we have had...of all of the memories...everything came flooding back. He looked so incredibly grown up and handsome...it made me cry all the more. As I sat there thinking about my two sons and all that we have been through together..the pride grew...and the tears flowed...and the tears gathered in the corner of my smile......
