The wind is blowing fiercely outside, snow and ice make for a most unpleasant outdoor experience.
It is a very distinct contrast to my current surroundings. I sit here next to the fireplace, the warm glow is very inviting. The Christmas tree lights twinkle in this dimly lit room...the only light comes from the tree and the warm fire.
I am plunking away on your laptop typing my thoughts as I listen to your measured breathing as you nap on the sofa at my back. I am almost afraid to say what I am feeling at this very moment...for it is too comforting...
too wonderful...too much, so much more than I am afraid I deserve...
I feel at peace....I have found comfort and warmth once more.
