Harley book signing 12/14/2003 7:45:30 AM
The book signing at Thunder Mountain Harley Davidson went well. I sold 16 books in two hours including one to Santa Claus. Santa was there sitting on a showroom red Harley as parents brought their children in to sit on Santa's lap on the Harley to pose for the picture. He asked me to sign his book - To Santa. Another celebrity of sorts was also vying for customers attention as a woman named Erin who appeared on TV's Monster Garage with Jesse James was in the house signing pictures of herself. She was wearing a miniskirt with Frankenstein laced boots. It was not her dabs of purple hair, nor her lip ring, nor her tattoos that drew the crowd, but rather her perfect smile and captivating laugh.
The sale force at Thunder Mountain steered the Christmas shoppers to the front counter where my books and poster were on display. They bought the book and had it signed to their friends and relatives as they saw it as a perfect gift for the doctor who just bought his first Harley to the husband who is thinking about getting one. It is the one thing that my book allows and that is it caters to both bikers and people who might never be on a bike. My book is not about bikers, but rather life and the choices you make in life. When people who read my book discover the real underlying meanings it just thrills me to death. They get it - they actually get it.
