This is another poem from my new poetry book Inspirations and Reflections, 89 Years of life and Love.
A Shoulder to Cry On
by Emma L. Willey
A nice strong shoulder to cry on,
How lucky could I ever be?
He’s always there to fill my need
His shoulder is comfort for me.
His shoulder is always there for me,
When troubles seem to come
I love that shoulder to cry on,
No matter where problems come from.
The shoulder I cry on is constant
I depend on it to the end.
Whenever sorrows befall me,
Those shoulders seem to mend,
Everyone needs a nice shoulder
To lean on when things go wrong,
The shoulder can always be there
To break you again into song
Cry on that shoulder when needed
To keep you going the right way,
It brings you solace and comfort
To keep you going all day.
