Palms,reunions and more garden colours

It has been some time since I wrote in my blog.My old
faithful computer was on its last legs and finally packed
up.Welcome to my new computer installed today.
There have been lots of pressing issues in the news this
week.My garden on the other hand is bursting with
yellows,reds ,pinks, whites of spring flowers. A true cover
for the perfect Easter card.
My brother and family came down to Manchester for a few days
and I met them .Manchester lived up to its reputation as a
rainy grey city.Proud of its reputation and boasting of it
at every overcast chance.We had a pleasant day in cafes and
restaurants then parted most likely till christmas.
PALM Sunday in Manchester was both grey and freezing with
bitterly cold winds.The congregants at St Chads braved the
cold to process from the garden to the side door as the
choir sang motets and anthems in latin,behind long swaying
dry palms.While in Leeds Palms and people processed
around the Greek church ,All followed by a fish lunch
afterwards.There was always something about Palm Sunday
which fascinated me and I recall past ones in Peru,Mexico,
Sicily,Greece London,Scotland and Rome,It was a tragic
quirk of fate that on that day several tornados devastated
areas of states like Iowa and Indiana.
Spring still argues with winter winds and chills but I
believe it is going to win the war.
