The last day of May

The Spring has already flown by and we are again on the eve
of summer,if we consider June a summer month. A minute alone
to ponder and another year is already half way gone. The
trees that shimmer so much in the breeze at the bottom of the
garden now so very green and in their prime.They have seen
me change from young to middle aged and witnessed my story
through sunny days and stormy nights. I have in recent
months
considered moving to another town, city back to
london,back to my roots in Scotland.I feel in a number of
ways that my stay here is over and it is time to move on.
The cost of moving ,not to mention the upheavel always
however keeps me back.
I have been ill and in bed for the last week which has
perhaps put me into a somewhat contemplative mood.It was
always my custom when I was ill and off school to listen to
radio 4 . A sobre alternative to the pop stations which is
full of dramas,narrations and documentaries.I suppose it
now gives me some sense of security.Its older fashioned
style of presentation reminding me of a childhood and a world
around me that seemed secure to the sense of invinsible.Of
reliable parents and siblings.The sound of radio 4 the
echos of a world I knew ,now,long gone.
