You know, some times it dawns on me how much the "public me" takes over my entire life.
Sometimes it takes something as humbling as someone knowing you just as "C. A." to remind you that there was a person that existed before that persona was born. That person is Cyrus Webb.
I would have to admit that even I have bought into the hype to a certain extent, letting people call me "C. A." wherever I go, thinking it is easier than trying to tell them how to pronouce my full name. But this past weekend it occurred to me how important it is to not forget where my life began.
I am Cyrus Webb of Mississippi. There, I said it. Cyrus Webb does live and exists. Sure, he doesn't get the attention and the scrutiny of "C. A. Webb". To some he might not even be as "sexy" a character, but he is the person that I was born and had to live with before the other side reared up and seemed to take over.
Why am I bringing this up? Mostly because I have been reflecting on my life lately, and remembering that with most things that I have been involved in that "C. A." has gotten the credit--- while Cyrus has seemed to get mostly the criticism. It occurred to me today that maybe, just maybe, I have done this on purpose--- in a way trying to protect the one who I believe saved my life.
I'm not going to lie to you and tell you that to me Cyrus and C. A. Webb are the same person. They are both very different. In some odd way, they don't even look the same. But we do share a body, and with that the responsibility of each other's actions.
What I'm getting at is that something new is getting ready to brew for both of us. It is something that will be surprise you and in others ways confirm what you might have been suspecting for some time.
We are going to be making a major announcement within the next few weeks, and I think it will make a lot of things clearer--- and raise even more questions about others.
As I always say, though, just be patient: The Best is yet to Come.
