Living the Life God has granted us is always there but until we harness and strengthen our inner spirit our misguided ways will continue. Knowing and doing are at times conflicting and frustrating. I know in my soul the way I want to think, feel and live but the onslaught of daily interference is a battle that is ongoing and one that much of the time has the upper hand. To live the life God has called upon us I must let go of the worlds attraction and place my faith in the words of God. Easier said then done, I know! But like I said knowing and doing can be conflicting because if both are not working together than the ways of the world will win and true peace will never reign our lives.
Romans 7:21 I have read many times and today it hit me in the chin. There in front of me are the words that pertain to my life and my search for unraveling the continuous struggles that burden daily life.
"So I have learned this rule: When I want to do good, evil is there with me. In my mind I am happy with Gods law. But I see another law working inside my body, which makes war against the law that my mind accepts. That other law working in my body is the law of sin, and it makes me its prisoner. What a miserable man I am! Who will save me from this body that brings me death? I thank God for saving me through Jesus Christ our Lord!"
Until I allow the fullness of Gods love and teachings be the breath of my life then the law of sin will always keep me captive and I its ever living prisoner.
