Where have you been you may ask.

I have been working. Reading, writing poetry and prose, reading, entering contests, researching, reading.

But mostly I have been retraining my intuition, trusting the small voice inside which tells me exactly what to say, what to decide. I am taking care of the moments knowing the years will take care of themselves. At least that’s what I tell myself.

Also, I have been waiting for Women’s Voices of the 21^st Century: Experiences That Shape Women to arrive on my doorstep. It’s exciting to know my poem, “Only Day”, will be included in that anthology along with other professional poets from across the country.

I have been putting a collection of award-winning poems from 2012-2013 into a new chapbook titled On the Tip of My Tongue.

 I have been learning how not to scream non-Christian words at my computer every day as I plug along installing and operating challenging and thoroughly frustrating software.

I am attending conferences to gain knowledge and insight into eBooks, sales and marketing, how to make trailers, speaking with novice writers, editing a friend’s eighth book, and (most fun of all) meeting experienced writers with the goal of turning them into new friends.

A longtime writer-friend of mine told me a while ago, “A writer’s life is something like living in a beehive – and not necessarily being a bee.
