I have a fan base - at least that's what I'm beginning to realize. It's an interesting place to be and something I'm a little less than prepared for. Why? (you may ask) It's because I never thought of these new people in my life as "fans", at least not until someone mentioned, "oh, your fans are following you now...". Hmmmm...
These new aquaintances are my friends (not fans, per se). I have been blessed with an avenue to travel and a reason to do so. Along with the perks of seeing new sites and sharing my book, comes the opportunity and blessing to make new friends. These new friends are "fans" to an outsider looking in, but from my vantage point, I have just made a new friend.
This weekend will be no exception and as I travel to Texas to reunite with new friends made just months ago, those wonderful people who have chosen to follow me and my entourage
(yes, Wendy and Sue are joining me again),
I can hardly wait to see you all again and share stories and "catch up" on what you've been up to since we first met. To those new friends waiting to be met, thank you for taking time (and courage) to step out and say "hello", or "Arrrgh!" as the case may be, to a stranger.
We cross paths with others for a reason, no coincidences. I thank you all for crossing my path and blessing my life!
