after a week away it is good to come back to my hill
today is the big day, but to be honest I'm not much of a soccer fan, when the us was still in the race I was kinda hopeful the us might prevail, not likely, but who knows! now that they are out, I'm not all that interested
nice and cool this am, we have gone back to the usual weather for Oklahoma kind of, while it is not so warm as usual, even the warm days cool at night and mornings are cool, unlike the furnace blast of the last 2 summers
the pink lilies in the front yard are gone, but the orange and yellows in the back yard are just firing up and they are bright and sunny and pretty
I moved all the pots into the oasis so that during the heat I can set one sprinkler and get them all at one time, the lavender, more lilies etc are all looking good so far, want them to continue!
Husband took the little green deere out to the lane and got the lane back down to sea level, good heavens the grass has gotten tall, poor little hasenpfeffer she had an abundance of grass and now she will have to come closer to the house, he will start mowing the front yard later today, or tomorrow
Husband saw a hummingbird yesterday, we haven't seen as many since the drought and heat have been so bad the past two years, but trumpet vine is showing blossoms all over this area, and in my yard, so one little pair appears to be back, good, hopefully more will come
the mulberry trees are, and have been heavily laden for weeks now, the turtles, hasenpfeffer and birds have been eating and eating and eating. the raccoons don't seem to have much interest in them.
there were a nice selection of raccoons and raccoon kidlets on the porch in the night, haven't seen milliscent or gwennie the possum yet, but know they are out and about somewhere not too far away

it is good to be back on our own little hill portion of the world
