Thank goodness the temps cooled some in the night, it is pretty warm here right now, but they are forecasting cooler temps tomorrow and for several days.
Lilies are outdoing themselves, when we got back yesterday I walked around to see if they had survived while I am gone, the blossoms are multiple and bright and beautiful.
Well now I know, 71, the bull, loves both croissant and bagels. I had given him croissants the day we were leaving for KC, he snoffled all over them and finally picked one up and then slurped up the others, fast.
I went to check the water trough after we got home yesterday and saw 71 down the pasture near the fence and called to him, he trotted right up to see if I had more croissants, slurped some water while I went back and got bagels, and he gobbled 4 without stopping.
Who knew a bull ate croissant and bagels!!
Mean wasps are out in force, they capture tarantulas, drag them to the nest, wall them into one of the cells for the growing grub to feed upon, gross!!
I spray with wasp spray when I see them, doesn't really help the spider, they are comatose and do not get over the wasp poison, but at least they are not eaten alive by a lousy grub.
I just took a bowl out for Fang, and there was Bubba!
Haven't seen him in days, was wondering if the coyotes had gotten him, he looks fine, if I can get him calmed I will take to Dr. N and get rabies shots etc. any of the outside critters have to have shots, can't take a chance with rabies.
Milli gets along fine with the cats etc, however skunks are silent carriers of rabies.
