Here Lies Jack Roberts ~ Nikki's Challenge~

Here lies Jack Roberts


Today a new home he has found
His body lies beneath the ground
His spirit now has been set free
This so called poet wannabe

He was a man who loved to live
To make you smile, his all he’d give
He cherished family and friends
He would stand by you till the end

“Woodpecker” he was often called
He worked with wood, stood proud and tall
He always did the best he could
His nickname so misunderstood

So if tonight from starry sky
You hear the angels voices cry
If you listen close, the words you’ll hear
“Open the gates, Big Woodys here!!”
