Every piece of wood tells a story if we take the time to listen. That is the satisfaction of woodworking. Very nice poetry, Jack. Always great to read you.
Take care,
Sherry
I see the same thing when I look at a cross grain of wood
I find it so interesting
that layer upon layer hugs the older year, and protects it
nature is a story unto itself, we just have to stop and observe
this is a wonderful wonderful poem jack
only an artist/poet like yourself would see the beauty revealed
by this act....and good for us that you did, and expressed it so beautifully to share with us......
ty woody!

What an interesting poem about woodwork and poets.
The songs and art in this book are about our collective emergence after the pandemic and trauma of the last few years - comprised of 5 collections: World as Refuge, Where We Live, In Our Hands, Rhythms of Change and What We See & Sow.
A further collection of poems, many from years in the Middle East, but also the California San Francisco and Central Coast areas (Santa Cruz, Carmel, Big Sur, Berkeley, etc.).
rhyme and rhythm!This is wonderful!
Take care,
Jill
