My cat worries about me. He just wants me to curl up and nap with him and stop all this nonsense of writing all the time (and to keep the cat food coming!)

Red Fred Said
for my cat, Freddie Noodles, also known as Fred the Red
Red Fred said curl up come to bed
You're so tired you're dead on your feet
I don't know what to do with you
You write all night and never eat
There's only so much I can do
As your pet cat and you know that
I love you and I worry so
And then if I may speak plainly
How would my cat food come if you should go?
Alas but red Fred spoke vainly
For his poet wasn't ready
To curl up yet he had somehow
To sonnetize his son Teddy
