"I am neither here nor there but nowhere"

Transcendental Sonnet #1199:
Does Anybody Really Care?

I have to pick up my pieces somehow
But they are all over the floor
I have to get myself together now
I cannot get out my front door
My medication is insufficient

At poetry I seem quite proficient
Does anybody really care?

I am neither here nor there but nowhere
And now I wonder what to do
I used to be someone but I forgot
Who maybe you I never knew
What hit me what fit me or who I was

I only wrote these lines because
I wanted to reach out to you

ooh how this touches me...if only a few unmentioned would read this and think of me (and you of course!) they would understand where i am coming from with a few things

alas they do not see it, nor do they care to. People by nature have always been ones to see what they want no more, no less and that is all.

Steve, I pray that you can come to terms with what you are going through, in the knowledge that Silke is a beautiful soul who wants only what is best for you, as does the Lord! Know that my thoughts and prayers have always been with both of you! Eileen

Steven, your words speak volumes to anyone who has, like myself, had to lose someone who was very close to us. Poetry has helped me to meditate and grieve, many times over and it is truly a healing mechanism, if one ever existed. May the Lord heal your heart and may your words always set you free.

I have read your saga for several days now Steven, and I have seen an outpouring of compassion from the wonderful people here in the den...so I would say to your poetic question at hand...yes, people do care. What you are facing is as tough as it gets, separation in any form is unbearable, but more so in a situation such as yours. I feel that there is empathy due to the fact that so many here can relate to your present dilemma...I know that I do...I know how you feel...and I do care....take care...really.

Well I think that you find people care and I suppose I would be the same way if my husband were gone from me. It is hard to lose and that is what I tried to describe about the love one man had for his wife in my book The Twelfth Of Never as the old song said until the twelfth of never I will be loving you.
