A Lance with Magic Well and Wise Begun: My Son
for Stevie II
My son is visiting for a few days
A six-foot-five improvement upon me
Changing my life in unusual ways
I will never know how he came to be
So big yet I know that he is my son
His name the same and he writes poetry
A Lance with magic well and wise begun
Girls come to see him in the middle of the night
Some ask "is it all right to love your dad?"
May God bless you my child you are not bad
But Father Lance follows a distant star his light
Is Silke Shining in the Sky his butterfly
