Reclusive Inclusive
I called up the supermarket to ask
If I could buy my apples with a check
The lady who answered allowed her mask
To slip a bit and she asked "What the heck
Do you think people do and where have you
Been? Under a rock somewhere?" That was fair
As it was an unusual question
So I took her up on her suggestion
And emerged from my reclusivity
At least for forty-five minutes or so
Fired up my old Chrysler and go man go
I found some brown rice which was very nice
Ten pounds of apples and boxes of tea
They accepted a check ...even from me
