My son and I were walking downtown and ran into the guy who used to stand next to him in Concert Choir at Orange High School where they sang my music together; Eric was just back from his third tour in Iraq.

I hugged that boy from Concert Choir tonight Right out of high school he joined the Marines And he told me he had just gotten back From his third tour of duty in Iraq
I hugged him grateful that he seemed all right
Standing on the sidewalk here at home means So much more now having been wounded there In Fallujah second tour and my prayer Is that all these kids will come back to me

How right you are, life is never how we thought it would be, but then sometimes we are surprised with such great blessings, like finding a soldier alive that could easily have lost his life.

Very truthful impact on the reader. I have faced my own death and the death of others. It does change you. Most times for the better :-)
The experience of a young adult trying to figure out what they want to do for employment or education can be overwhelming. My book will give them insight to what it means to be a carpenter. And the progress unions have made in discrimination.
