Intending to speak the mysteries of
Life I found myself in the midst of love
And since they say these are unspoken sing
That love is all and the meaning of life
But can crush like stone or cut like a knife
And left me here alone without a wife
My children grown up bigger than me now
As I wonder if I have anyone
When I thought I had so many somehow
Here at the other end I have begun
To feel more and more like a broken thing
Was my popularity illusion?
Do those who said they loved me think of me
And will those who said they would be there be?
Is the afterbirth of love confusion?
Intending to speak the mysteries of
Life I find myself left to wonder why
There are so many more questions about
Love than answers yet more belief than doubt
Blind love calls and we stumble blind who try
To discover the insight by which we
Wrestle with the riddle of unity
