"Making me appreciate every autumn breath"

Transcendental Sonnet #1438:
Life and Death in Autumn

Autumn is the transcendental season to be
When wind fills trees like sails and turning leaves let go
To sail their one and only voyages past me
To ride the tide of destiny though they must know
How the only way is down from up in a tree
Now turning and returning to the earth below
When though the leaves change then their essences remain

Because this is life as it is and does I see
Completing the cycle and beginning again
Continuing life into immortality
Transcending and bending my perception of death
Life becoming visible suspended in air
Making me appreciate every autumn breath
As each a ghost to mark the moment I was there

As each a ghost to mark the moment I was there

Yes Steve, this is a wonderful message of life, not its beginnings but its end. In the autumn of my life I see the spiral staircase and the light above. My twilight years are almost here, and when they come I will have no fear, because death is just another plane of existence we must journey through. The oak trees outside have burnished bronze brown leaves that have turned because of the season. But they are pretty in all their glory and splendor knowing soon they will all fall to the earth. So must we fall to the earth too, when it is our time to let go of the branch of life holding us up and giving us the sap that keeps us going.

Thank you dear brother for sharing this with us. Your words of wisdom are both brave and bold, and your message is quite clear.

May the Lord Bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and walk by your side. With love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister Barbie.

Oh yes, autumn is a captivating time of the year.
Well voiced here.
God bless,
Lew
