Diamante She read a diamante About me playing with my kitten Upstairs in Long Beach one day In the afternoon she had written A good day maybe Sunday One of many with few if any Bad days like were on the way Boy-genius was the tip of the stone Hyphenated to a point Well made of my immaturity Fate would wait to disappoint But having been together alone Having grown separately We were not to be as we had been Now I would forget I know How we were when we were not to be How we forgot to be then Because that was a lifetime ago But for a diamante She read in my head (and heart maybe) Until now still haunting me Steven Curtis Lance

I tried to grasp the meaning this poem. But I couldn't quite do it. That's okay, I'm sure you know it's me very well and perhaps it was only meant for you anyway.
