Dying Dreams

Dying Dreams Look deep into these searching eyes As green as all the oceans tides That once were dancing in your light Now you’ll see they’re filled with despair A poignant sorrow beyond repair As the light fades to shades of gray To console will not alleviate The mournful cry that resonates Within the hollow walls of this heart Swathed beneath a blacken veil Struggling to suppress an anguished wail A million lovers’ dreams lay dying.
