TRUE LOVE FOUND
By Bill Cottringer
Born three days apart;
Moms called us
Janie-girl,
Billy-boy.
Glad she waited,
Happy I searched;
She left some clues
I finally saw—
Her river, her horses,
Special voice, soft skin,
Wanting to need me,
I couldn't stay away.
I loved her everywhere,
She thought of me all the time.
Then gradually,
But suddenly
Love is felt,
Like never before;
Scared but safe,
Delicate but strong;
A compelling, good sense
Of being so very special.
Then we remember—
We are finally home,
As true loves always want,
Wanting to need each other.
True love is a mystery,
Setting two souls free;
Yet joining as one.
There's no greater love.
Thank you God.
