Chilling winds pass swiftly by...
through the black, lifeless limbs,
staring at their stark reflections,
in icy, sharp waters.
How still the emptiness...
as Winter robbed feral grounds,
of tender blossoms,
and fragile expectations.
In the distance is a howling,
as if souls were swept away,
with relentless, raging blizzards,
and the melting of each snow.

The last verse really captures the ambiance of winter. Great write... thank you for sharing...
