Song Lyrics

You Said you loved Me

Girl you said you loved me

But now I know you lied

As I was walking out the door

Girl, I knew you cried.

I remember the day that we met,

That come on look was in your eyes.

I took a gamble, placed my bet.

But you filled my life with lies.

You said you were at your mother’s place.

You said that she was feeling ill.

I remember the smile on your face,

I did not hear the warning bell.

That night she called me on the phone,

She said she had to talk to you.

I told her that you were not home.

I cried, as I lied for you.

I saw you, sitting in his car.

The kiss you gave him at the door.

Seems your love don’t go too far.

I gave my love, you wanted more.

Girl you said you loved me

You said those words to many more.

When I think of you no love I see.

You cried, as I walked out that door.

Beautiful lyrics Robin, lost love is sad but makes for some great songs;-)I like the simplicity, sort of an understatement that makes the words more meaningful. Would like to hear the melody;-)All the best with it!

So sad robin, but the truth of the matter is, there are those type of women. Not all of us are bad though. Most of us are loyal and caring to a fault. Blessed are the rightious for they shall inherit the earth. May the Lord be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & (((HUGS))), Barbie

Oh my what a gut wrencher.

YOU SAID YOU LOVED ME has excellent cadence and the grief is so deep I'm drowning.

Beautifully and sorrowfully penned.
