Only words could say
how many times I wanted
you from afar. Wondering
if your soft lips held
the passion that my soul
knew and ached for.

How it hurt watching,
while he held you in
his arms without feeling,
casting your heart aside,
like yesterdays emotions.

Dancing together, his eyes
were for her. What spell
kept your attention? Did
unfaithfulness go unnoticed?
Is blindness forgiving?
The fool is nothing without you.

Maybe one day you'll know
that I could love you better
than he, and my love will
be unconditional. Until then,
I will want you from afar.

Paul,
The distance oif longing in this from afar poem is so beautiful in verse. Love is that way it never sees untill it is forsaken.
Excellent write,
Peg
