Another Dance

My soul weeps with memory as the blood of my brothers etch the walls of stone and yet we dance another dance. Can our children and generations to come ever know the joy of peace or will they only learn what it is to run the gauntlet? We can not sacrifice each other. The lamb turns to the shepherd for guidance and must not accept anything less. Life is precious and a given right. The power to desecrate creation must not exist. Our actions shall be accountable.

This is a powerful and thought provoking poem. With so many differences in the world, there will probably always be brave soldiers dying for one cause or another. Love the effect of the last line! Great work:) Sheila
