There will be many times in Life
that we do not agree
with the leaders in our lives,
large and small, that we strike out
with passion and indignity, when we wish
things were different, where
individuals will bear the pain
of freedoms death...
I can't help but wonder
what the naysayers
of our Presidents would do
in their weighted shoes.
There is much in history
that explains the decision
to go to War.
Written by our race,
our cautionary tales...
I think how life would be, now,
if Hitler’s “purity”
of conviction had won,
or the book burners
of sanctimonious selfishness,
or the Khmer Rouge
with its brutal mentality…
They are different, you say?
I think not...
Will you do something
to change the world,
my friends?
Will you use your passion
to bring peace and justice,
to All? How?
Will you "fight"
for your convictions?
That is what the President,
the generals,
the soldiers,
the Allies,
and the families of such
are doing,
from many nations
of our small earth...
They are making a difference
in our current world,
based on
the passion
of their convictions,
which is a damn sight more humane
than any thoughts
of the powerful insane…
